Warehouse Teammate (Loading & Receiving) - AM SHIFT

 

 

The warehouse teammate is responsible for well-organized and efficient preparation and handling of incoming and outgoing materials.

 

These responsibilities are carried out in a team environment under the supervision of the Lead Hand. All duties are carried out adhering to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures, and ensuring stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Warehouse Teammate play a key role in receiving, storing, documenting, and delivering materials to and from Distribution Centre, by performing the following duties: 

 

Shipping-Receiving:

  • Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with pallet jack.
  • Receive, identify and label incoming goods from suppliers according to established procedures.
  • Complete daily shipping and receiving logs; record Lot numbers for MSC and Whole Foods Trace Register products
  • Ensure quality standards are met by visually auditing products; report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to Lead Hand / DC Manager
  • Locate all materials to the relevant storage area, ensuring optimum space utilization and respecting suppliers’ storage recommendation. No damage boxes are allowed.
  • Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and handcart.
  • Ensure the shipping / truck loading activities are conducted based on delivery schedule.
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

 

Order Picking:

  • Pick / prepare orders for internal and external customers according to Sales Orders and by shipping routes; ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Ensure all customers’ orders are complete and on time: the right quantities in the right place at the right time
  • Ensure all warehouse goods are proper identified and stored to accommodate optimum space utilization and stock inventory procedures.
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

 

Other warehouse duties:

  • Process returns accurately.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
  • Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and secure.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum high school diploma and prior warehouse working experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs of products
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of operating material handling equipment; forklift certificate an asset
  • Good command of the English language – both verbal and written required
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends

 

Schedule:

 

  • 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM
